Deep Dish is an American electronic music duo formed in 1995, consisting of Iranian-American artists Ali "Dubfire" Shirazinia and Sharam Tayebi. Based in Washington, D.C., they gained prominence for their house and dance remixes of tracks by major artists like Madonna, Janet Jackson, and Dido. Their breakthrough came with the 1995 remix of De'Lacy's "Hideaway," which showcased their remixing prowess. The duo's debut album, Junk Science, was released in 1998, and they received a Grammy nomination for their remix of Madonna's "Music." They won a Grammy for Best Remixed Recording for Dido's "Thank You" in 2002. After disbanding in 2006 to pursue solo careers, they reunited in 2014 and released new music, including the single "Quincy." Deep Dish is celebrated for their innovative live DJ sets and has left a significant mark on the electronic music landscape.
