Crankdat, born Christian Smith in 1997, is an American DJ and electronic dance music producer from Ohio known for his energetic, melodically vibrant tracks that blend elements of dubstep, electro-house, and melodic bass. He first gained widespread recognition with his viral 2015 remix of Fetty Wap's "Trap Queen," which amassed millions of streams and earned support from major artists like Skrillex and The Chainsmokers. Turning down a track and field scholarship to pursue music full-time, Crankdat has released successful original tracks and collaborations, such as "I Hold Still" with Jauz and "Dollars." He is also noted for designing his own live show visuals and continuously pushing his sound boundaries, headlining global festivals and maintaining residencies in Las Vegas.
