Coco & Clair Clair is an American alternative hip-hop and pop duo from suburban Atlanta, Georgia, consisting of Taylor "Coco" Nave and Claire "Clair Clair" Toothill, who met through mutual friends on Twitter in late 2013 or early 2014. They began collaborating on lo-fi bedroom pop tracks with hip-hop influences, cloud rap elements, and a "demon glam rock" vibe, self-releasing their debut mixtape Posh in 2017, which included the breakout single "Pretty" that later exploded on TikTok with over 60-100 million Spotify streams. Gaining buzz through viral singles like "Pop Star," performances at festivals such as Lollapalooza, and collaborations, they dropped their debut studio album Sexy in November 2022 (praised by Pitchfork with a 7.4 rating), a deluxe edition in 2023 featuring remixes, and their second album Girl in August 2024, blending tongue-in-cheek lyricism, multi-layered production, and Atlanta's Awful Records scene energy.
