Clinton Kane is a Norwegian-Filipino singer-songwriter and guitarist born on November 26, 1998 (or 1999 per some sources), to a Filipino father and Norwegian mother, who rose to prominence through self-taught covers and originals on YouTube starting in 2016, channeling personal anxiety into emotive pop and acoustic tracks. Signed to Columbia Records in 2019 after viral clips of artists like Ed Sheeran and Khalid, he released the EP This Is What It Feels Like, contributed vocals to Martin Garrix's "Drown," and scored modest hits with heartfelt singles like "Chicken Tendies" (#83 UK, #88 US Billboard Hot 100) and "I Guess I'm in Love" (#22 UK, #90 US), followed by his 2022 debut album Maybe Someday It’ll All Be OK, 2023 EP And All I Loved, I Loved Alone, before going independent in 2024. Known for powerful vocals and themes of relationships and mental health, Kane has built a dedicated fanbase via social media while touring and collaborating in LA.
