Chiquis Rivera, born Janney Marín Rivera on June 26, 1985, in Los Angeles, California, is an American singer, songwriter, and television personality. She is the eldest daughter of the late renowned banda singer Jenni Rivera. Chiquis began her music career in 2014 with the release of her debut single "Paloma Blanca," a tribute to her mother, and has since become a prominent figure in the regional Mexican and Latin music scenes. She has released several successful albums, blending pop with traditional banda music, and has earned multiple Latin Grammy nominations and awards. Besides music, Chiquis has starred in several reality TV shows, including "Jenni Rivera Presents: Chiquis & Raq-C" and "The Riveras," where she shares her life and career journey. In 2024, she also became a judge on the Mexican music competition show "La Academia." Known for her strong connection to her roots and her advocacy on personal topics such as bisexuality and endometriosis, Chiquis continues to thrive as an influential artist and public figure.
