Channel Tres, whose real name is Sheldon Jerome Young, is an American rapper, singer, and record producer from Compton, California, born on May 26, 1991.

He has gained recognition for his unique blend of music that combines elements of Detroit techno, Chicago house, and West Coast hip-hop, creating what he refers to as "Compton house". His music is known for its ability to cross genres and has been described as both house and hip house. Channel Tres began gaining attention with his single "Controller" and has since released a series of acclaimed EPs, starting with his self-titled EP in 2018.

He has collaborated with a variety of artists, including Robyn, Disclosure, Tinashe, and Tyler, the Creator, and has been featured in major festivals and venues worldwide. His music has also been used in commercials, HBO series, Paris runway shows, and films.

In 2023, Channel Tres released his EP "Real Cultural Shit" and the single "Walked in the Room". He has been praised for redefining house music for a new generation and has been featured in articles discussing the resurgence of Black house music.
