Chaka Khan, born Yvette Marie Stevens on March 23, 1953, in Chicago, Illinois, is an American singer known as the "Queen of Funk." She achieved great success as part of the soul-funk band Rufus, delivering hits like "Tell Me Something Good," "Sweet Thing," and "Hollywood." Khan has also had a successful solo career, with popular songs such as "I Feel for You" and "I'm Every Woman."
She has won numerous Grammy Awards and has been a significant influence in the music industry. Khan's powerful voice and charismatic stage presence have made her one of the most electrifying performers of her time. She has also been involved in philanthropy, having established the Chaka Khan Foundation.
