Buffalo Traffic Jam is a folk band originating from Bozeman, Montana, formed by Frankie Cassidy and Nathan Ross, who met while students at Montana State University. The duo blends rich harmonies with stripped-down instrumentation and storytelling that captures emotions ranging from longing to joy, all deeply rooted in folk traditions but with a contemporary edge. They released a self-titled debut EP and gained attention with singles like “Forgot Your Roots,” which went viral and led to a record deal with Arista Records. In 2025, they released more singles such as “Strangers Now” and “Milestone” and made festival debuts at Under the Big Sky and Red West Festival. Buffalo Traffic Jam has toured extensively, including a tour with country singer-songwriter Dylan Gossett, establishing themselves as a rising act characterized by authenticity and heartfelt musicality.
