Brantley Keith Gilbert, born January 20, 1985, in Jefferson, Georgia, is an American country rock singer, songwriter, and record producer. He started his music career after surviving a near-fatal car accident, which inspired him to focus on songwriting and performing. Gilbert released his debut album "A Modern Day Prodigal Son" in 2009 under Average Joes Entertainment, followed by "Halfway to Heaven" in 2010, earning him several number one hits on the country charts. Signed later to Big Machine Records' Valory Music Co., he has released multiple successful albums, including "Just as I Am," "The Devil Don't Sleep," and "Fire & Brimstone," combining heartfelt lyrics with a rock-influenced country sound. He has also co-written hits for other country artists and received accolades such as the ACM New Male Artist award in 2013.
