BOY SODA, the stage name of Brae Luafalealo, is an Australian-Samoan singer-songwriter and producer from Terrigal on New South Wales' Central Coast, now based in Sydney and Eora, where he blends soulful R&B, pop, and live instrumentation influenced by 2000s R&B and hip-hop. He launched his career in 2019 with the debut single "Time for That," followed by early releases like the double A-side "Take Your Time/See Someone" and "Daisy Chain," earning spots in Converse’s All-Stars program and opening for Dominic Fike in LA. Signed to Warner Music Australia in 2021, he dropped his debut EP The Distance Between Thinking and Feeling in 2022—home to the Netflix Heartbreak High featured track "BIG"—and culminated in his October 2025 debut album Soulstar, previewed by singles "Lil' Obsession," "Blink Twice," "4K," and "Never the Same," showcasing vulnerable themes of love, healing, and personal growth.
