Bones UK is a rock band hailing from Camden Town, London. The band consists of lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Rosie Bones, lead guitarist Carmen Vandenberg, and drummer Heavy. Rosie Bones and Carmen Vandenberg initially met at the Blues Kitchen in Camden Town and were part of the all-girl band Fake Club. Their musical journey took an exciting turn when they caught the attention of musician Jeff Beck, leading to collaborations on his album "Loud Hailer" and touring together.
The band's self-titled debut album, released on July 12, 2019, via Sumerian Records, showcases their fearless approach to addressing societal issues such as the "beauty industrial complex," toxic masculinity, and sexism within the music industry. Notably, the album includes a cover of David Bowie's "I'm Afraid of Americans." Bones UK's music has been well-received, with their single "Pretty Waste" earning a Grammy nomination for Best Rock Performance in 2019.
