Berner, born Gilbert Anthony Milam Jr. on October 27, 1983, in San Francisco, California, is an American rapper and entrepreneur known for his prolific music career and cannabis business ventures. He began his career in the mid-2000s, releasing his debut mixtape Dirty Sneakers... Plenty Ways to Get It in 2007, and has since released over 20 solo albums and many collaborations. Berner is signed to Wiz Khalifa’s Taylor Gang Entertainment since 2012 and is recognized for albums like 20 Lights (2015) and Hempire (2016), which blend hip-hop with cannabis culture themes. Beyond music, he co-founded the influential cannabis brand Cookies, expanding his impact in both the music and cannabis industries. Berner’s style is shaped by Bay Area hip-hop influences, and he is celebrated for his authentic storytelling and entrepreneurial spirit.
