Band of Skulls is an English rock band formed in 2004 in Southampton, consisting of Russell Marsden (guitar, vocals) and Emma Richardson (bass, vocals), with Matt Hayward (drums) until his departure in 2017. The trio initially performed under the name Fleeing New York before rebranding to Band of Skulls in late 2008. Their debut album, Baby Darling Doll Face Honey, released in 2009, garnered significant attention with tracks like "I Know What I Am," which was featured as iTunes' free Single of the Week and included in the Friday Night Lights soundtrack. Over the years, Band of Skulls has released five studio albums, showcasing their distinctive blend of blues and indie rock, and has toured extensively, including supporting major acts like Muse. Their most recent album, Love Is All You Love, was released in April 2019, further solidifying their place in the modern rock landscape.
