Bad Bunny, born Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio on March 10, 1994, in Puerto Rico, is a Puerto Rican rapper, singer, and songwriter who has become one of the most influential global stars of música urbana, helping bring Latin trap and reggaeton fully into the pop mainstream. Rising from uploading tracks on SoundCloud to breaking out with songs like “Diles” and “Soy Peor,” he achieved worldwide fame through hits such as “I Like It” with Cardi B and J Balvin and a run of landmark albums including X 100PRE, YHLQMDLG, Un Verano Sin Ti, and Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana. Known for bending genre with touches of rock, punk, and soul, and for unapologetically centering Puerto Rican identity and Spanish lyrics, he has won multiple Grammys and, in 2026, made history when his album Debí tirar más fotos became the first Spanish‑language album to win Grammy Album of the Year and when he headlined a Super Bowl halftime show performed primarily in Spanish.
