AzChike, born Damaria Kayshawn Walker on July 28, 1995, is a rising star in the Los Angeles hip-hop scene. Hailing from South Central, this rapper has made a name for himself with his intense, aggressive style and trunk-rattling production that embodies the new West Coast sound. AzChike's breakthrough came in 2017 when his song "Burn Rubber Again" went viral on SoundCloud, leading to a co-sign from Shoreline Mafia and performances at Rolling Loud. In 2019, he signed with Atlantic Records and released his debut album "Rich & Ratchet," solidifying his place in the industry.
AzChike's career has continued to flourish, with notable collaborations including features on albums by Schoolboy Q and Kendrick Lamar in 2024. His unique blend of gritty lyricism and R&B-infused beats has garnered attention from publications like Pitchfork and The Fader, establishing him as one of the most promising contemporary hip-hop artists to emerge from the West Coast.
