Nathaniel "Nate" Rathbun, known professionally as Audien, is an American DJ and electronic music producer born on January 11, 1992, in New London, Connecticut. With a career spanning from 2009 to the present, Audien has made significant contributions to the electronic music scene, particularly in the genres of progressive house and trance. His journey in music began in a musical household and was further influenced by trance songs in video game soundtracks, leading him to recreate songs from Armin Van Buuren's A State of Trance podcasts.

Audien's talent was recognized early when he was signed by Ferry Corsten's label Flashover Recordings at the age of 17, releasing his first single "Rise & Shine." Over the years, he has released numerous singles and remixes across prestigious labels like Enhanced, Perceptive, Armada, Black Hole, and Nervous. His work has been featured in major electronic music compilations and has earned him a Grammy nomination in 2015 for Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical for his remix of Bastille's "Pompeii." Audien's tracks like "Insomnia" and "Something Better" featuring Lady Antebellum have topped the US Dance Charts.
