As It Is is a British-American pop punk band formed in 2012 in Brighton, England. The group was founded by lead vocalist Patty Walters, with early members including Andrew Westhead, Benjamin Biss, and Patrick Foley. They gained attention through local shows and released their debut album Never Happy, Ever After in 2015 under Fearless Records, becoming the first UK band signed to the label. Known for their emotive lyrics and energetic performances, As It Is delivered follow-up albums like okay. (2017) and The Great Depression (2018) that addressed mental health and personal struggles, earning critical acclaim. Despite lineup changes and a brief hiatus, the band retained a dedicated fanbase, announcing a reunion for 2025. Their music blends catchy pop punk melodies with thoughtful themes, making them influential in the modern pop punk scene.
