AP Dhillon, born Amritpal Singh Dhillon on January 10, 1993, in Amritsar, Punjab, is an Indo-Canadian singer, rapper, and record producer who has made significant waves in the Punjabi music scene. Known for his unique blend of traditional Punjabi music with contemporary trap beats, Dhillon has achieved remarkable success with hits like "Brown Munde" and "Majhail," both of which topped the UK Asian and Punjabi charts.
His career, which began in 2019 with the single "Fake," has seen a rapid rise, leading to collaborations with notable artists and performances at major events, including being the first Punjabi-language artist to perform at the Juno Awards in 2023. Dhillon's music, often created in collaboration with label-mates Gurinder Gill and Shinda Kahlon under their independent label Run-Up Records, resonates deeply with the global Punjabi diaspora, making him one of the most streamed artists in the world.
