Andrea Bocelli is released by Decca Records & published by Atlas Music Publishing/Strictly Confidential/Universal Music Publishing Group.
Andrea Bocelli (born September 22, 1958, in Lajatico, Italy) is a world-renowned Italian tenor celebrated for his unique blend of opera and pop music, as well as his ability to bring classical crossover to mainstream audiences. Blind since age 12 due to congenital glaucoma and a sports accident, Bocelli initially pursued a law degree and worked as an attorney before dedicating himself fully to music. His breakthrough came in 1992 when he recorded "Miserere" with Zucchero Fornaciari, which led to collaborations with Luciano Pavarotti and a rapid rise to fame. Bocelli won the newcomers section at the 1994 Sanremo Music Festival with "Il mare calmo della sera," launching a prolific recording career that includes more than 15 solo studio albums, nine complete operas, and over 90 million records sold worldwide. Signature songs like "Con te partirò" (and its English duet version "Time to Say Goodbye" with Sarah Brightman) and "The Prayer" with Celine Dion have become international hits, while his albums Romanza and Sacred Arias are among the best-selling of all time in their genres. Bocelli has performed at major global events, collaborated with a wide range of artists, and remains a powerful advocate for classical music’s accessibility and emotional resonance.
