Alexandra Savior McDermott, born on June 14, 1995, in Portland, Oregon, is an American singer-songwriter known for her atmospheric and dreamy psychedelic sound often categorized as "desert rock." She gained initial recognition at the age of 17 when Courtney Love praised her YouTube cover of "Big Jet Plane," leading to a significant career shift. After moving to Los Angeles in 2013, she signed with Columbia Records and released her debut album, Belladonna of Sadness, in 2017.
Following a brief period with Columbia, she joined Danger Mouse's 30th Century Records, where she released her critically acclaimed second album, The Archer, in January 2020. With her unique style and evocative songwriting, Savior has established herself as a notable figure in the contemporary music scene.
