Alexander Stewart is a Canadian pop singer, songwriter, and YouTuber born in Toronto in 1999, who first gained recognition by uploading vocal covers of popular songs to YouTube, amassing millions of followers. His breakthrough came with viral covers like Camila Cabello’s “Havana,” after which he transitioned to writing and releasing original music, including singles such as “Backwards,” “Blame’s on Me,” and “I Wish You Cheated,” the latter two charting on the Billboard Canadian Hot 100 and earning him his first Gold Record in 2024. Stewart’s debut album, Bleeding Heart, released in May 2024, received a Juno Award nomination for Pop Album of the Year, and he was also nominated for Breakthrough Artist or Group of the Year. Known for his heartfelt lyrics and emotive vocal style, Stewart has toured internationally, performed on major TV shows like The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, and built a dedicated fanbase through both his original songs and engaging social media presence.
