Alexander Giannascoli, known by his stage name Alex G, is a 31-year-old indie rock artist from Havertown, Pennsylvania. He began his music journey with DIY self-releases on Bandcamp, which led to his breakthrough with his fifth studio album, DSU. This album caught the attention of the Domino Recording Company, which he subsequently signed with.
Alex G's music is a unique blend of indie rock, folk, and experimental music. His career has seen steady growth, with each album and tour larger than the last. He has been recognized by peers such as Frank Ocean, who invited him to play guitar on his 2016 album, Blonde.
Over the years, Alex G has released nine studio albums, with his latest, "God Save the Animals," receiving widespread critical acclaim in 2022. Despite his success, he remains somewhat under the radar in the mainstream music scene, earning him a dedicated fanbase and critical acclaim for his unique sound and songwriting skills.
