Adam Lambert, born Adam Mitchel Lambert on January 29, 1982, in San Diego, California, is a renowned singer-songwriter and actor celebrated for his powerful vocal range and theatrical performances. He gained fame as the runner-up on the eighth season of American Idol in 2009, where his dynamic stage presence and unique style captivated audiences. Lambert's debut album, For Your Entertainment, released later that year, debuted at number three on the Billboard 200 and included the Grammy-nominated single "Whataya Want from Me." His follow-up album, Trespassing (2012), made history as he became the first openly gay artist to top the Billboard album charts. In addition to his solo career, Lambert has gained acclaim as the lead singer of Queen since 2011, collaborating with founding members Brian May and Roger Taylor on numerous tours and recordings, including the live album Live Around the World (2020). Known for his advocacy for LGBTQ+ rights, Lambert founded the Feel Something Foundation to support marginalized communities. With multiple albums and a successful touring career, he continues to be a significant figure in contemporary music.
