Born on October 19, 1989, Rodriguez's music career began in 2011 after completing a sound engineering degree at Boston's Berklee College of Music. She initially gained attention for anonymously releasing a series of one-minute-long demos, followed by her bilingual four-track EP "Systems" in 2013.

Since then, she has released two more studio albums, "Us" in 2018 and "I'm Your Empress Of" in 2020, and has collaborated with artists such as Blood Orange, DJDS, and Khalid.
