Alessandra Watle Mele, known mononymously as Alessandra, is an emerging Italian-Norwegian singer who has quickly made a name for herself in the music industry. Born on September 5, 2002, in Pietra Ligure, Savona, Italy, and raised in Lillehammer, Norway, Alessandra's multicultural background has influenced her musical style, allowing her to blend various genres and languages seamlessly. She gained significant attention after competing in the seventh season of "The Voice – Norges beste stemme" in 2022, where she reached the live shows, showcasing her vocal talent and stage presence.
Alessandra's music career took a significant leap when she represented Norway at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2023 with her debut single, "Queen of Kings." The song, co-written by Alessandra herself, Norwegian composer Henning Olerud, globe-trotting ghostwriter Linda Dale, and writer-producer Stanley Fernandez, carries a powerful message of self-love. It encourages listeners of all ages and genders to embody their inner "queen of kings." This track has enjoyed immense success, amassing over 25 million streams and establishing Alessandra as a TikTok sensation.
